Cancer and Statistics

Information on cancer is collated and analysed in order to understand the incidence and associated morbidity and mortality. A number of data sources are accessed including:

  • State and territory population-based cancer registries - Australian Cancer Database (AIHW)
  • Australian Paediatric Cancer Registry (APCR)
  • Clinical cancer registries
  • Biospecimen databases
  • Cancer screening registries
