Australian College For Emergency Medicine (External Website)The Australasian College for Emergency Medicine is an incorporated educational institution whose prime objective is the training and examination of specialist emergency physicians for Australia and New Zealand and the ongoing Maintenance of Professional Standards of the Fellows.

College of Emergency Nursing Australia (External Website) The College of Emergency Nursing Australasia Ltd. (CENA) is the peak national nursing specialty organisation representing emergency nurses.

Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (External Website) The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners is the professional organisation that focuses on the safety and quality of general practice.

Australian College of Critical Care Nurses (External Website) The Australian College of Critical Care Nurses represents over 2,000 critical care nurses nationally. Our members work across the critical care clinical spectrum - cardiothoracic and general intensive care units, emergency, coronary care, high dependency, academic and educational settings. Our College activities focus on the care of both adult and paediatric critically ill patients, and includes many clinical sub-specialities (Special Interest Groups) and professional issues (Advisory Panels). We provide a suite of resucitation programs including Advanced Life Support (ALS).

Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (External Website) The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS), formed in 1927, is a non-profit organisation training surgeons and maintaining surgical standards in Australia and New Zealand. The College's purpose is to be the unifying force for surgery in Australia and New Zealand, with FRACS standing for excellence in surgical care.

Ambulance Victoria (External Website) Ambulance Victoria covers both metropolitan and rural ambulance services along with air ambulance and Adult Retrieval Victoria. Both Ambulance Victoria Clinical Practice Guidelines and the Remote Area Nurses Emergency Guidelines are available on this website.

Adult Retrieval Victoria (External website) As well as providing retrieval advice and criticare coordination ARV also have links to the Retrieval & Critical Health Information Stystem (REACH) and the trauma education site - TED

Western Victoria Primary Health Network (External website) Western Victoria PHN was established on 1 July 2015 and has replaced the Grampians, Barwon and Great South Coast Medicare Locals. We are a not for profit organisation, responsible for delivering on the following two objectives set by the Federal Government:

  • Increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of health services for patients, particularly those at risk of poor health outcomes.
  • Improving coordination of care to ensure patients receive the right care, in the right place, at the right time.

The National Heart Foundation The purpose of the National Heart Foundation is to reduce premature death and suffering from heart, stroke and blood vessel disease in Australia. To do this they prioritise work that helps to create an environments that promote heart health and improves access to quality services for those with risk factors for heart disease, or have experienced a cardiac event.

The National Stroke Foundation The National Stroke Foundation exists to offer the Australian community the information and support they ned to prevent stroke, live with stroke and to work effectively in stroke health services. The national Stroke Foundation is committed to areas of stroke awareness and prevention, improving treatment - reducing death and disability, improving life after stroke, research, fundraising and good governance and accountability.

Australian Resuscitation Council (External Website) The Australian Resuscitation Council produces Guidelines to meet its objectives in fostering uniformity and simplicity in resuscitation techniques and terminology. Guidelines are produced after consideration of all available scientific and published material and are only issued after acceptance by all member organisations.

The Emergency Care Improvement and Innovation Clinical Network (External Website) The Emergency Care Improvement and Innovation Clinical Network has been established to improve patient care by promoting innovation and improvement in the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of emergency department care.

Royal Childrens Hospital (External Website) The Royal Children's Hospital is a specialist paediatric hospital and provides a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and adolescents. The hospital is the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria, and also cares for children from Tasmania and southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.
